The survey manager's guide to getting the most out of your Rav4

My first thought was "nice work!" My second was similar to Chris Blattman's: why not save the stress and move to electronic data collection? My third, and most important, was: is he really maximizing his Rav4's potential?

A few months ago I was managing a baseline survey in Dar es Salaam for the IGC. We didn't have an office close to the survey site ( which was located located in the unplanned settlements), so I converted the Rav4 into a roving survey office.

So, survey managers, this is how you rock out your ride (2-door Rav4s and paper surveys not supported):

Matt, I saw your Rav4 when you were doing that survey. While your descriptions are all valid, the filing system of 'random blind paper drop' left something to be desired. Or maybe that was only used for the maps section, when trying to find fundis in remote parts of Dar es Salaam?
